New in 2013 was the option to spend a memorable day in Yamhill County. Open only to Bounty of the County registrants, these specially arranged tours will let you soak up the scenic agriculture and experience a day in the life.

Discover where and how the dinner’s food and wine is grown at various farms and wineries. See prized produce and world-class wines.

Take a walk with the winemakers and vintners to witness the impact of organic agriculture and how it makes a difference in the stewardship and sustainability of the farmland.

VIP TOURS – Each tour will last approximately 1-2 hours

1)      BIODYNAMIC VINEYARD TOUR AND TASTING

Before you taste his wines at the Bounty of the County dinner, meet the man who grows the grapes and walk through his vineyard on a guided tasting tour. Winemaker, Josh Bergstrom, of Bergstrom Wines will explain the biodynamic practices that make his vineyard and wines so special. 1:00pm. Limit 30 people. $50

2)      OREGON OLIVE MILL AND TASTING

Oregon Olive Mill at Red Ridge Farms, owned by the Durant family, has pioneered a new agricultural product for Oregon. Come meet the family, walk through the olive groves and taste the six distinctive olive oils. And while you are there don’t miss the nursery, garden gift store and Durant wine tasting room. 2:00pm. Limit 12 people. $40

3)      RIEDEL COMPARATIVE GLASS TASTING

All wine glasses are not created equal. Discover the difference the glass can make, especially the Riedel brand which crafts wine glasses for specific wines. For over 50 years, this Austrian company has been making wine glasses shaped to enhance the wine being consumed. You will have the chance to experience this for yourself in a tasting of 4 Stoller Vineyard wines in 4 different Riedel Vinum XL wine glasses. You can take your tasting set home ($138 value). 3:30pm at Stoller Vineyards. $50 for Bounty of the County attendees (the tasting usually costs $75-$85).
