Yamhill Enrichment Society Honors Orchestra
You are invited to be a part of the inaugural Yamhill Enrichment Society Honor Orchestra. The Junior Orchestra of Yamhill County is a nonprofit that brings K-5 orchestral programming to schools in Yamhill County. This orchestra will be made of current 4-8 grade age students that play violin, viola, cello, and bass.
This event will take place on April 26-27 at Mountain View Middle School in Newberg. Transportation is not provided, but carpooling is encouraged. This two-day event is $50 dollars for students to participate. Scholarships are available and students are encouraged to participate regardless of ability to pay. Applications are due by March 21.
Requirements: All current 4-8 grade students who have had two or more years on violin, viola, cello, or bass. If you started playing in February 2022 or before, you qualify. If you have never played in an orchestra before, that’s fine! Let this be your first experience! Students will receive their music a few weeks before the event and are expected to practice and prepare their part prior to April 26. No audition required.
